MEET TRACY

New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community

My name is Tracy McMillan and I live in Pleasant Grove. I was raised in Lindon, graduated from Pleasant Grove High School, and have lived in the PG/Lindon area for over 30 years.  I am passionate about serving others and helping children reach their full potential. I have 5 children (16, 13, 10, 7, 6) and a husband who shares my love of service and is supportive of our family and others. I obtained my real estate license and have been working as a real estate agent since 2016. I love helping families find their dream homes. But even with that opportunity my focus has been on raising my children and serving in my community. I have served as secretary and president of Lindon Elementary PTA, as well as on several PTA committees. I have also participated as a member of the Lindon Elementary School Community Council. Opportunities to serve have also come through youth and high school sports, PG/Lindon Cares, and Little Miss Lindon. Participation in many organizations in my church community has given me opportunities to regularly serve with children and youth.

As an Alpine School District board member, I will CARE about our communities, COMMUNICATE with constituents, COLLABORATE with stakeholders, and ADVOCATE for all students and families in our area. I believe that providing a wide variety of learning opportunities for students through specialty curriculums such as STEM, PE, and the arts provides opportunities for kids to grow, learn, and develop their individual talents and passions that help them to advance academically. Through my experience with special education, I have come to recognize the need to advocate for all students, regardless of their ability. This includes helping parents learn how to advocate for their own children’s needs and unlock the resources that are available.

When the district, schools, administrators, teachers, and parents work together student success is unlocked and families and communities are strengthened.
